Estimating the Quality and Resolution Needed for Electronic Boards

Consider the resolution that is required for your application. when determining what resolution is best for you and your company. Resolution is referred to as its pixel pitch and is measured by the space between LED clusters (in millimeters) The smaller the millimeter number, the higher the resolution of the sign. This is because the LEDs are packed tighter together. The smaller resolution numbers will allow you to display more details and crisper content on your sign. Here are some guidelines to follow:

If your viewing distance is close (10-20 feet) consider high resolution 10MM.
If your viewing distance further away (40-50 feet) we recommend a medium resolution of 16MM.
And finally if your viewing distance is over 75 feet consider low resolution of 20MM.

These numbers are estimates only. And it should be remembered that if cost is a factor or price is a consideration – the higher the resolution, the more costly the message board.
